Does anyone else out there wish we had just a touch of snow for christmas? It is only a few days away now and I honestly cannot seem to get in the mood without at least a little bit of snow on the ground. Mind you, Tony is quite happy I think with no snow. He is the one who has to shovel you see..I don't do shovelling unless I have too. The kids would like to see some snow too..last year they only had one good sledding day, and they are eagerly awaiting some more.
Tony has decided to put a rink in the backyard this year. I don't know if it will work, however he has a great square outlined back there. I promised the girls that I would try to skate this year. Thank god there is going to be a rink in the yard! If I had to go to a public place I would probably die of embarassment. My last skate in public was on my nephew's birthday many moons ago, where i managed to fall flat on my back, without even moving my feet! Don;t ask me how as I have no idea, except maybe it's my center of gravity which leans quite significantly to the front if you get my drift.
MacKaela woke up coughing t his morning which does not bode well for my upcoming Christmas plans....that is now all three of my family members falling victim to a terrible cold within a month, yet somehow, I am still standing strong...bizarre as I am usually the first man down.
Tonight we have choir practice and I can pretty much promise that she will not be able to do any sort of solo which she has her heart set on. I heard from the church lassies yesterday. They wanted to know what was happening with the Nativity play I volunteered to help out with back in September...incidentally yesterday was the first time I heard anything about it since then. SOOO me, as someone who does not have the word NO in her vocabulary, will be gathering youngens round her at the church tomorrow night for one and one only practice before the big show on Christmas Eve at 4p.m.. I think I will have a lot of Shepard's and angels.....and very few folks with speaking lines...lol...but you know what..they will be adorable :)
